MedFirst Staffing, a Joint Commission certified provider of healthcare staffing services, is recruiting Registered Nurses (RN) for full-time positions at adult male and female correctional facilities in Columbia, South Carolina and in other areas of the state. These positions include highly competitive W-2 wages (paid weekly), access to an extensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
12-hour day (7:00 am – 7:00 pm) and night (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) shift positions available. Work schedule is three shifts per week (36 hours per week), including every other weekend. Selected nurses will be provided an extensive orientation at the beginning of their assignment. These positions are highly competitive and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Candidates must be able to complete on-boarding requirements and begin assignments in a timely manner.
Position Details:

Job Duties:
- Conduct health assessments and sick calls for inmates
- Administer medications and provide treatments
- Provide health education and counseling
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
- Supervise nursing assistants
Job Requirements:
- Current South Carolina or compact RN License
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Current PPD
- Negative Drug Screen
- Background Check
- Professional demeanor and excellent clinical skills
