MedFirst Staffing is actively recruiting Registered Nurses (RN) for full-time contract positions at a state-operated psychiatric hospital in Morganton, North Carolina. Your expertise and leadership will help ensure high-quality care to those in need.
These highly sought-after positions offer premium pay and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment on August 3 or August 17.
Job Details:
- Start Date of either August 3 or August 17
- 16-week contract (with opportunities for additional 13-week contract renewals)
- Full-time schedule
- 12-hour day shift (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) and 12-hour night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) positions are available
- Rotating 36 / 48 schedule (three 12-hour shifts / four 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend)
- Mandatory 4-week onboarding for orientation and training, first shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday, at the beginning of the contract

Registered Nurse (RN) License and Credentials Requirements:
- Current North Carolina or multistate RN license
- At least one year of nursing experience
- Current PPD
- Current CPR Certification, BLS - American Heart Association
Primary Job Duties:
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment and monitoring of mental health conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate records of patient histories, conditions, and treatments
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment options
