Role Overview
I am looking for an experienced accounting professional to work directly with me and take ownership of day-to-day accounting while supporting reporting and close activities. This role is hands-on and sits above a clerk-level position, requiring sound accounting judgment and the ability to operate independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll review, cash activity)
- Prepare and support monthly financial reporting
- Lead month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure accurate expense classification and consistency across entities
- Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
- Coordinate with external accountants and tax preparers
- Improve accounting processes and controls
Required Experience & Skills
- Prior experience with financial reporting and multi-entity accounting
- Strong Excel expertise (reconciliations, schedules, analysis)
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close
- Experience with QuickBooks
What This Role Is Not
- Not a clerical or data-entry role
- Not limited to AP/AR processing
- Not a purely supervisory position

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
