What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech-Language Pathologist position at Medfamily Wellcare Center?
Provides speech-language pathology services to diagnose and treat communication, swallowing, and auditory disorders, following patient care plans and professional standards.
Assists physicians in evaluating patients' communication, hearing, and swallowing functions, developing and modifying treatment plans, and setting goals.
Conducts assessments, participates in interdisciplinary team evaluations, and collaborates with patients and caregivers to promote progress and plan discharges.
Delivers therapeutic activities to improve language, speech, voice, and communication strategies across modalities.
Communicates effectively with healthcare team members, documents treatment accurately, and participates in quality improvement and training activities.
Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in speech-language pathology, licensure, and relevant experience. Must have current CPR, good communication skills, and a valid driver’s license if applicable.
