The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats patients with hearing, speech, language, and swallowing issues based on medical diagnoses and physician orders, adhering to established standards of practice.
They apply growth and development principles across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, working collaboratively with patients, physicians, staff, and other stakeholders to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology, a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from ASHA, and a current speech pathology license from the state or completion of CFY. BLS certification from the AHA is also required.
