Licensed Mental Health Professional

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will join an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team providing comprehensive care to street homeless and subway-dwelling individuals in the community.

• Work involves street outreach, coordinating needs pre- and post-housing, enhancing daily living skills, offering supportive counseling, and advocating for clients facing discrimination or healthcare barriers.
• Utilizes a person-centered, harm reduction approach with a focus on member choice and non-coercion.
• Supports clients for months after housing placement to promote stability and independence.
• Requires fieldwork, periodic on-call hours, and flexible scheduling.
• Minimum qualifications include a licensed master’s degree in social work, counseling, nursing, or psychology; MSW candidates with plans for licensure are considered.
• Travel within Chenango, Broome, and Otsego counties is required.
  
  

This full-time role offers benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and a competitive hourly rate of $32-$34. Relocation to Norwich, NY, is required before starting.
