Sales Manager, NICU and Maternity Care in Medical Devices

Central Region

Salary starting at $105K plus bonus

Medela Is Seeking a Sales Manager, NICU And Maternity Care-Medical Devices, Who Has The Following Experience In Hospital Sales, Medical Devices

  • Overseeing the field sales consultants and associate sales reps in their region
  • Executing sales strategies, and ensuring revenue growth
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring the sales team to ensure high performance
  • Monitor and evaluate sales metrics, provide feedback, and implement strategies for continuous improvement

Education/Experience Requirements - Sales Manager, NICU and Maternity Care-Medical Device

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university is preferred
  • Successful selling experience of at least 3 years in Hospitals
  • Successful direct managerial experience of at least 3 years preferred
  • Travel 60%
  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce.com will be considered an additional asset
  • Must meet vendor credentialing/compliance demands of accounts within a given territory and must satisfy the account’s drug screening requirements, including but not limited to screening for marijuana use, regard-less of whether the use of marijuana is legal under applicable state law
  • Strong computer and internet skills; software experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Experience working in an environment with global objectives
  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English

Position Responsibilities – Sales Manager, NICU And Maternity Care-Medical Device

  • Coaches and trains field sales consultants on selling skills, approaches and prioritization to drive sales growth
  • Coaches and deploys Associate Sales Reps to appropriate locations to support Field Sales Consultants.
  • Executes to strategic initiatives in hospital channel
  • Invests in IDN (Integrated Delivery Networks) relationships and growth from these key customers
  • Focuses team efforts on key accounts with cross-functional specialist teams (Clinical Education Managers, National Account Managers, etc.)
  • Understand and drive Medela’s selected sales methodology (Challenger)
  • Ensures the team updates sales opportunities and forecasts through company CRM software (SalesForce.com)
  • Ensures the team keeps timely records and manage all customer activities including call reports and follow-up through company CRM software
  • Motivates and creates support and excitement for new initiatives
  • Sets sales goals and manages performance against goals
  • Drives sales opportunities forward through participation in critical sales meetings, challenges sales consultants, and prioritizing efforts
