Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a dental or clinical setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using dental office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during dental procedures, including handing instruments and materials.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental procedures.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs.
Manage patient appointments and ensure smooth patient flow.
Maintain accurate patient records and update them in the electronic health records (EHR) system.
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
