Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm CST
Setting: Employer-Based Occupational Health Clinic

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in your career? Interested in a leadership opportunity where you can combine hands-on patient care with clinic management, all while enjoying a consistent Monday–Friday schedule?

Medcor is looking to hire a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Clinic Manager at our employer-based occupational health clinic in Waterloo, Iowa.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with a background in occupational health, emergency medicine, urgent care, or clinical leadership who is ready to make an impact outside of a traditional hospital setting.

As the Clinic Manager, you'll play a key role in both patient care and the day-to-day operations of the clinic. Our clinic provides basic primary and urgent care services, along with the assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses.

You'll lead and support the onsite clinical team, collaborate with Medcor's operational leadership, and build strong relationships with our client and their employees. From delivering quality patient care to overseeing staffing, scheduling, training, and clinic operations, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.

Why Join Medcor?

  • Work-Life Balance! Enjoy a consistent Monday–Friday, daytime schedule with no regularly scheduled weekends or overnight shifts.

  • Leadership Opportunity! Take ownership of clinic operations while continuing to use your clinical skills and experience.

  • Stability! Medcor has been providing healthcare services since 1984.

  • Career Growth! We offer opportunities to grow professionally, whether through leadership, clinical development, or other roles throughout the organization.

  • Training & Support! We provide the tools, resources, and ongoing support to help you succeed.

  • A Different Kind of Healthcare! Spend meaningful time with patients, build relationships, and help employees stay healthy and safe in the workplace.

What You'll Do

As a Medcor Clinic Manager, you'll be responsible for both clinical care and operational leadership, including:

  • Lead and oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality patient care.

  • Provide hands-on assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor's evidence-based clinical protocols.

  • Support basic primary care, urgent care, and occupational health services.

  • Manage clinic staffing, onboarding, training, scheduling, and employee development.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client leadership, employees, and Medcor's operational team.

  • Collaborate with onsite safety, human resources, and benefits professionals to support workplace health initiatives.

  • Provide case management and support employees throughout the recovery and return-to-work process.

  • Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings, including Physical Assessment Testing (PATs).

  • Support OSHA recordkeeping and occupational health documentation.

  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

  • Ensure compliance with Medcor's policies, procedures, and clinical standards.

  • Promote a positive, patient-focused clinic environment.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Iowa.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

  • Ability to lead, manage, and support a clinical team.

  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfort using electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare technology.

  • Ability to lift and carry a 50-pound emergency response bag.

  • A patient-first mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous clinic management, supervisory, or healthcare leadership experience.

  • Occupational health or employer-based clinic experience.

  • Background in emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care.
