Job Description / Responsibilities: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) will function as a full-time provider delivering high-quality, patient-centered Primary Care and Urgent Care services in a hybrid outpatient clinic setting. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions across diverse patient populations while maintaining efficiency in a high-volume clinical environment. The APP will independently manage patient care within their scope of practice, including performing comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing and implementing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing patient education and counseling. Providers will manage both episodic urgent care visits and scheduled primary care appointments, with an emphasis on evidence-based clinical decision-making and continuity of care as appropriate. Clinical responsibilities include performing common urgent care and primary care procedures such as laceration repairs, incision and drainage (I&D), ingrown toenail removals, splinting when indicated, and interpretation of X-rays and 12-lead EKGs. The APP will work collaboratively with on-site medical assistants, X-ray technicians, and front desk staff to ensure efficient clinic flow, patient safety, and a positive patient experience. The provider is responsible for timely, accurate, and thorough documentation of all patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with clinic policies, regulatory standards, and quality benchmarks. Participation in quality improvement initiatives, adherence to established clinical protocols, and ongoing collaboration with clinical leadership are expected. The APP may participate in an optional on-call or backup coverage system, with providers self-selecting available days to support clinic operations as needed. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient environment with variable patient volumes.
