Professional Nursing Opportunity in Rheumatology
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Upstate Medical University's Department of Medicine, Rheumatology in Homer, NY.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to individuals receiving infusions for Rheumatology and other specialties. As an infusion nurse, triage specialist, and educator, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs while serving as a liaison with other staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional nursing care to patients requiring infusions
- Function as a triage specialist to prioritize patient needs
- Provide education to patients and families on disease management and treatment options
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- NYS licensure/registration as a RN
- At least one year of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Preferably, experience in IV and infusion therapy
- Prior experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in a specialty area
- Ongoing BLS certification through AHA or ARC

Compensation
The salary range for this position is G7: $27.00 - $40.80, which may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, market, and business considerations.
