Pathologists’ Assistant — Full-Time
Location: Pathology Lab, Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: Full-time
We are seeking a Pathologists’ Assistant to support a diverse and complex adult surgical pathology caseload. The role includes gross examination of surgical specimens and frozen section work. You’ll work alongside a team of approximately 60 pathologists and nine Pathologists’ Assistants.
A structured orientation will cover workflows and the technical protocols used by its staff physicians.
Responsibilities
- Gross and document adult surgical pathology specimens.
- Perform frozen section work.
- Collaborate with pathologists, pathology residents, and laboratory colleagues.
- Follow established specimen handling, safety, and quality protocols.
Qualifications
- Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program.
- ASCP board certification required.
- One year of experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong attention to detail, professional integrity, and the ability to work closely with physicians and coworkers in a changing practice environment.
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
