The Outside Territory Manager is a key player and important contributor to the overall success of the team. The ideal candidate must be able to manage all stages of the sales cycle, working closely with current customers, prospects and the inside customer service team to drive sales of marine products and replacement parts to boat dealerships, marinas, and repair shops within their territory.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a full understanding and knowledge of the products offered by us and can offer application options to customers
- Emphasizes the features of products to highlight how they can solve the needs of the customer
- Provides field reconnaissance to sales management and customer service teams.
- Maintains a database of current and potential customers
- Makes professional sales calls at customer sites on a regular basis
- Seeks out prospective customers and business opportunities within assigned territory.
- Establishes and maintains customer relationships in order to grow profitable sales
- Performs on site application reviews of marine driven products
- Stays current on existing and emerging products and technologies
- Introduces and demonstrates new product offerings
- Maintains ability to travel up to 75% of time, from day trips to multi overnight trips
Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience, preferred
- Mechanical or technical experience, preferred
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and work within deadlines
- Ability to achieve targets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and listening
- Excellent phone and cold calling skills
