About The Role
As a locum Consultant in General Medicine, you'll deliver high-quality care to patients across a range of acute and general medical settings.
- Clinical sessions - 6 clinics per week on days to suit the service due to availability of clinic rooms in outpatients.
- New clinics initially until follow up demand required - 6 new appts per clinical session.
- Location at both UHW and UHL.
- 1 admin session.
- MDT/radiology meeting Wednesday weekly.
- Rheumatology service day on-call consultant rota shared with team.
Responsibilities
- Managing inpatient and outpatient general medicine services
- Supporting junior doctors and MDTs
- Contributing to service development and audits
- Providing high-quality patient care
Essential
What We're Looking For
UK Experience Required
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- CCT in General Medicine (or within 6 months of achieving it)
- A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
- UK Right to Work
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
Desirable
- CCT in General Medicine (or within 6 months of achieving it)
