Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse - NICU Per Diem to join our team in the Jersey City area. Night 1x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) In this role, you will primarily be creating and managing a plan of care for individual patients. You are a Registered Nurse (RN) who operates with great attention to detail and a big heart. You take pride in creating personalized care plans for patients and are able to observe and communicate effectively in your patient's best interest. To succeed, you should have demonstrated knowledge and skill in current nursing practices as well as a strong penchant for solving problems.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of current NICU experience
- Active License
- Current AHA BLS, NRP
- Level 2 and Level 3 Neonatal ICU
-Will float to mother baby unit to care for newborns
- Proficiency with Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management, Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, Arterial line management, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), CPAP
- 2 clinical references, at least 1 leadership reference from assignments within the last year
Shift Details:
- Shift Times: 1900-0730
Orientation Details:
1 day computer training at home on Monday, 2nd day on-unit @ 7a on Tuesday
Additional Details:
- Charting system: Epic
- 1 year separation for previous staff
- Parking is free in unassigned spots
- Please be aware of sub review turnaround time could take 1-2 weeks!
