What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant (Laboratory Assistant) position at Med Center Health?
Assists provider in completing office examinations. Administers treatment and therapeutic procedures as directed by provider. Gathers patient information and conducts limited evaluation as required. Performs related technical tasks that support and complement the provider. Assists with patient and family education. Performs Laboratory functions such as obtaining and processing laboratory specimens.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous clinical experience in a physician practice preferred.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or equivalent training program required. A combination of work
- experience and on-the-job training in a physician practice environment may serve in lieu of the required training program.
- Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
