Role Description The Manager Environmental Services is a full-time, on-site role based at the Med Center Health facility in Bowling Green, KY. This role is responsible for overseeing daily environmental services operations, including the housekeeping,sanitation, and waste management, to ensure a clean ,safe, and compliant healthcare environment. This role provides leadership, direction, and support to staff while ensuring adherence to infection prevention environmental services staff, and ensures adherence to infection control standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
The Manager collaborates with clinical and administrative leaders to maintain high standards of environmental cleanliness, patient satsfaction, and operationsl efficiency. This position also supports staff development, perfromance management, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental budgeting and resource planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, environmental services, business, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Three years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, facilities operations, or related experience required.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of infection prevention practices, cleaning standards, and regulatory requirements in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge or ability to learn staffing, scheduling, and performance management
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar systems.
- Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) preferred.
