We are currently seeking a Maintenance Sales Representative to drive the growth and profitability of our HVAC Service business. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with prospective customers, and securing long-term service agreements that deliver value to our customers and support FirstCall Mechanical's continued growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive, goal-oriented sales professional who excels at creating opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and expanding our presence within the commercial HVAC market through service agreement sales, preventative maintenance solutions, and customer-focused partnerships.
Job Responsibilities
This position reports to the local Branch Leader and works closely with the Service Team, Operations Team, and customers to drive service growth and long-term partnerships.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and business documents. Ability to effectively communicate professionally through written and verbal communication. Ability to present information clearly and confidently in individual and group settings with customers, clients, and internal teams.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, margins, and sales projections. Ability to interpret basic reports and sales metrics.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify customer needs, evaluate challenges, recommend solutions, and make sound business decisions. Ability to manage multiple opportunities, prioritize activities, and adapt to changing customer and market conditions.
Environmental Requirements
This position requires regular travel to customer locations, job sites, and business meetings. The employee will work in a field environment and interact with customers in commercial facilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer equipment, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively. The employee frequently stands, walks, and sits. The employee may occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl while visiting customer locations. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Responsibilities
- Proactively identifies, targets, and develops new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, market research, and relationship building.
- Creates and maintains a strong sales pipeline by consistently engaging prospective customers, scheduling appointments, and advancing opportunities through the sales process.
- Conducts discovery meetings and sales calls with Facility Directors, Property Managers, Building Owners, and key decision-makers to understand HVAC challenges, operational goals, and service needs.
- Identifies customer pain points related to equipment reliability, system performance, energy efficiency, operating costs, and preventative maintenance needs.
- Educates prospective customers on the value of proactive HVAC maintenance, service agreements, digital service solutions, sustainability initiatives, and long-term equipment performance.
- Develops customized service solutions by leveraging FirstCall Mechanical’s capabilities and resources to meet customer needs and create long-term partnerships.
- Prepares, presents, negotiates, and closes proposals while effectively communicating the value of FirstCall Mechanical’s HVAC service and maintenance offerings.
- Drives growth of recurring maintenance agreements by converting new opportunities into profitable customer relationships and expanding service opportunities.
- Collaborates with operations teams to ensure successful customer onboarding, kickoff meetings, and a seamless transition from sale to service delivery.
- Maintains accurate sales activity, customer information, pipeline updates, and account progress within BuildOps and other company systems while developing territory growth strategies aligned with FirstCall Mechanical’s goals.
- Consistently achieves sales goals by generating new opportunities and expanding FirstCall Mechanical’s customer base.
- Continually develops technical HVAC knowledge and sales skills through FirstCall Academy and ongoing industry learning.
- Delivers an exceptional customer experience to ensure FirstCall Mechanical remains the trusted partner for HVAC and Refrigeration needs.
- Represents FirstCall Mechanical with professionalism, urgency, and commitment to customer success.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of progressive sales experience, preferably in HVAC, commercial services, facilities, construction, or a related industry.
- Proven ability to develop new business, generate leads, and successfully close sales opportunities.
- Experience selling HVAC service agreements, preventative maintenance programs, or recurring service solutions preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and building operations preferred.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to customers and decision-makers.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory, prioritize opportunities, and drive results independently.
- Experience utilizing CRM or sales management tools preferred.
