Summary
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team at MECO Electric Co., Inc. In this role, you will play a critical part in our project planning and execution, ensuring accurate cost estimates and project management for high voltage electrical installations throughout New York City.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope of work.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Utilize Bluebeam and other software tools for takeoffs and documentation.
- Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures as needed.
- Ensure compliance with NEC standards and regulations throughout the estimating process.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience estimating medium to large scale commercial projects in NY and NJ.
- Knowledge of Con-Est Intellibid estimating software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to negotiate and procure major electrical components for bids.
- Driver’s license and own transportation.
- Ability to work from main office and field offices as required.
