Mecklenburg Health and Rehabilitation is a 100-bed skilled nursing facility that is seeking a Business Office Manager (BOM) to join our team of dedicated health care professionals.
The primary purpose of the Business Office Manager (BOM) is to direct all financial affairs of the facility using generally accepted accounting principles, including accounting, business office, billing and reimbursement, credit and collections, and other financial matters as directed by the Administrator. Previous experience in long term care and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other insurances are preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain the facility accounting system that accurately reflects the facilities accounts receivable
- Handle billing of various payor sources
- Ensure financial portion of the resident admission contracts are appropriately filed within 48 hours of admission
- Collect payments / co-insurances as due, prepare bills / statements, review aging, manage Resident Trust Fund, and attend daily meetings
- Attend weekly and monthly care plan meetings, 72 hour meetings, resident discharge meetings and triple check meetings
- Interpret and present the facilities accounting policies and procedures to residents, family members, visitors and government agencies as necessary
- Review and process adjustments, write-offs, and refunds as appropriate
- Work with Interdisciplinary team to ensure FL2 documentations, Medicaid applications and Admission Contracts are initiated and completed.
