Operations Manager, Communications
Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: $99,446 - $130,000 annually
MEDIC is seeking an experienced leader to serve as our next Operations Manager, Communications. This position provides strategic leadership for the Communications Center, overseeing daily operations, employee development, quality initiatives, process improvement, stakeholder partnerships, and operational performance.

What You'll Do:
- Lead and develop Communications supervisors and staff
- Oversee daily Communications Center operations and resource management
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and productivity standards
- Manage budgets, projects, and strategic initiatives
- Build strong partnerships with Mecklenburg County Fire Departments and other public safety stakeholders
- Represent MEDIC on the Radio Communications Council (RCC)
- Support agency goals through leadership, innovation, and collaboration
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Five years of progressive leadership experience managing communications centers in complex environments
- NAED EMD/EFD Certification
- Valid NC or SC Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- ENP Certification
- NENA/APCO Membership
- System Status Management experience
Salary: $99,446 - $130,000 annually
