What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Setup Lead position at Mechanical Industries?
Mechanical Industries is a metal fabrication shop specializing in making parts out of tubes and rods.
We are in a growth phase and looking for someone experienced in setting up a variety of metal forming equipment and machinery. We are seeking someone who can independently select and install tooling, make tweaks and adjustments, and run quality parts that they are able to check themselves. This will take a level of mechanical inclination and familiarity with equipment that probably comes with several years of direct hands-on experience in a metalworking shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and change over setups on various machines and equipment
- Verify first-article parts and maintain part quality throughout the run
- Read and interpret prints and bend callouts
- Work efficiently, safely, and reliably with minimal oversight
- Support operators and help keep jobs moving on schedule
