Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Chemical Technician specializing in wastewater processing to join our team. This role involves supporting environmental compliance and safety standards through precise chemical handling, laboratory testing, and process monitoring. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing environments, laboratory procedures, and materials handling, with a strong focus on maintaining high-quality standards and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical analyses and tests related to wastewater treatment to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including pH meters, spectrometers, and titration apparatus.
- Assist in the preparation and handling of chemicals used in wastewater processing, adhering to safety protocols.
- Support manufacturing operations by managing materials handling tasks, including packaging and forklift operation when necessary.
- Monitor process parameters and adjust chemical dosing as needed to optimize wastewater treatment efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory results, process data, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Follow CGMP guidelines to ensure quality control throughout all procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational workflows.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or laboratory setting is preferred, especially within wastewater processing or chemical handling.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts, machinery, or machining tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) is desirable.
- Laboratory experience involving chemical testing or analysis is highly valued.
