Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in HVAC systems. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of HVAC equipment across residential and light commercial settings. A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to work independently and efficiently in the field. The technician will play a vital role in ensuring optimal operation of furances, air conditioning systems, boilers, water heaters and related mechanical equipment.
Duties
- Maintain, service, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, and related mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Perform maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to prevent future failures.
- Diagnose electrical problems using tools such as multi-meter and conduct necessary repairs or replacements.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems when required.
- Utilize brazing skills for repairs or modifications of components within HVAC or refrigeration systems.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC infrastructure as needed.
- Follow safety protocols during all service activities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain detailed service records and report on system performance and repairs.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar field service role involving heating, air conditioning, and hydronics.
- Construction background or mechanical knowledge is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, hydronics/geothermal, and HVAC/R technology.
- Experience with geothermal repair, boiler operation, and equipment repair is advantageous.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC setups is preferred.
- Ability to operate field service tools including digitial multimeters, manometers, and combustion analyzers.
- Previous mechanical experience or working with complex mechanical systems is a plus.
