What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial HVAC Installer position at Mechanical Design & Service?
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation of HVAC related equipment following company policies and manufacturer’s specifications
- Carry out wiring of both low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment
- Perform installation of copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering
- Perform installation of flex and sheet metal duct systems in commercial / industrial buildings and light residential
- Ensure connection of gas lines to heating equipment is properly done
- Provide necessary support to other team members to be able to complete tasks on time as instructed by management
- Create and maintain cordial and collaborative working relationships with both superiors and co-workers
- Continually enforces safety to the highest standards
Qualifications:
- Experience preferred, but will train the right person
- Valid Driver’s License with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUI's
- This position requires working in diverse conditions
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Have your own tools (tool purchase program available)
- Ability to follow directions and have a strong attention to detail
- Ability to complete all tasks in a timely manner, with minimal supervision
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl and/or kneel continually
- Ability to transport ladders
- Requires employees to often lift 50 lbs or more.
- Able to tolerate working outside during all seasons as the job requires
