This role exists to position the company for future growth and stability.
We are hiring an experienced Structural Engineer to:
· Subject matter expert for Steel Stacks and Similar equipment
· Provide Structural Engineering services to clients
· Become expert at stack vibration and damper design
· Provide engineering support for software clients as needed
· Drive improvements to software applications by providing engineering expertise
· Improve customer service and interaction for engineering issues
You will initially work alongside an experienced engineer with deep product knowledge, learning the system and its history while helping reduce single-person risk over time.
We are seeking someone that can build upon our existing products and services and help take our company to new heights. We wish to leverage new ideas and Artificial Intelligence to provide better products and services for our clients.
What Success Looks Like (12 Months In)
You will know you are successful when:
· Able to technically evaluate and offer proposals for 95% of damper requests for quotation
· Expand engineering services sales by 50% by focusing on stacks and process equipment
· Proficient at designing common air cooled exchangers
· You can take high-level tasks and own them through completion
· Comfortable interacting with clients directly (Phone, Video, email, in person)
- You are trusted to make thoughtful technical and product decisions
- Leadership time is freed up because engineering work moves forward without micromanagement
What You’ll Work On (First 6 Months)
Your initial focus will include:
- Learn to quote and execute damper projects
- Independently quote and execute stack related projects
- Learn how to quote and perform air cooler design to offer redundancy
Approximate task breakdown:
- Stack related projects: 50%
- Vibration Dampers: 30%
- Air cooled exchangers: 20%
How the Role Evolves
- Initially: You will learn our system of quoting and executing projects.
- As you ramp up: You will take on projects which are within your area of expertise and competency.
- Long-term: Learn more about vibration dampers and become a subject matter expert so that you can handle more aspects of the damper business.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 3 years of Steel Stack or related experience
- 5 years of Structural engineering experience
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong ownership mindset
Additional Desired Skills
- Preferred Bachelors Degree discipline in Civil or Structural
- PE or SE License
- Experience with StaadPro, IDEA StatiCa, PRG Software, Autodesk Inventor
- Vibration damper design
- Foundation design experience
- Comfortable using AI as a tool and resource
