Vac Truck Operator

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Vac Truck Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating both sewer jet and hydro excavation trucks. This will include cleaning and jetting underground pipes, locating daylighting utilities and trench hydro excavation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate vac trucks and maintaining truck
• Must locate utility lines
• General construction labor and labor related tasks
• Effective communication with on-site foremen regarding progress and safety
• Adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures
• Maintain organized and clean job site throughout the project
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have CDL A or B with Tanker Endorsement and DOT Medical Card
• No Manual Restriction - must be comfortable driving a manual truck
• Must have experience with Hydro Excavation/Vac Trucks and tankers
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as an individual environment
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work with hands-on tools and to work in construction related situations
• Follow instructions given both orally or in writing
• Ability to work independently, with accuracy and in accordance with company safety and quality standards
• Ability to communicate in English with other employees for the purpose of hazard recognition, problem solving, or other purposes.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

• CDL A or B license (Required)
• Tanker Endorsement (Required)
• Negative drug, including marijuana, testing per federal regulations (pre-employment, random, etc.)
• Current DOT medical card
• Handle a physical workload
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
