What are the responsibilities and job description for the Robot Welder 2nd Shift position at MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.)?
Essential Job Functions
- Follow safety and environmental procedures
- Come to work everyday, on time as scheduled
- Proficient communication skills
- Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality parts. Examine welds and unload parts to ensure they meet standards and specifications to verify product quality
- Use computer to enter part information/inventory in ERP system
- Load, setup, operate robotic welding equipment
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and repair and setup to keep robotic welder running smoothly and reduce downtime.
- Examine weld during welding process; observe problems with the weld and adjust the speed, voltage, amperage, or feed of the wire or rod
- Execute scheduling board
- Ability to use motorized walking stacker
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to operator cranes, overhead hoists
- Ability to use quality inspection equipment
- Proficient and basic math and computer skills
- Ability to pass eye exam
- Indoor, noisy, hot in summer months
