Overview
The Product Line Director, Aerial Work Platforms is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of initiatives across the full product lifecycle for MEC’s AWP product lines. This role focuses on product launch, positioning, pricing, forecasting, corrective actions, marketing support, and product discontinuation. The Product Line Director serves as the internal product expert and supports sales, service, marketing, engineering, and executive leadership.

This role requires strong technical understanding of mobile equipment, a commercial mindset, and the ability to work cross functionally to drive product performance, profitability, and market share.

Primary Responsibilities
Maximize revenue and contribution margin for MEC Aerial Work Platforms.
Serve as the product expert and primary resource to support training, sales, marketing, and technical support efforts.
Manage the commercialization phase of new product launches.
Drive product and commercial improvement initiatives related to Aerial Work Platforms.
Analyze sales data, AEM market share reports, competitive products, and industry trends to ensure products are positioned for growth and profitability.
Partner with key customers to identify product improvement opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
Support pricing strategy, forecasting, and product lifecycle decisions including product discontinuation.
Host and support cross functional meetings to review AWP product line performance.
Develop and deliver product familiarization, sales, and service training in shop, classroom, and online environments.

Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of relevant experience in product management, product line leadership, or commercial roles.
Strong technical background in mobile or off road equipment including electrical control systems, hydraulics, battery powered systems, combustion engines, mechanical structures, and computer controlled systems.
Experience working in manufacturer to distributor environments.
Experience in construction, industrial, or equipment rental industries preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly self motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Ability to communicate professionally with customers and de escalate issues when needed.
Comfortable developing training materials and presentations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, CRM tools, and web based technologies.

Travel and Requirements
Willingness to travel up to 50 percent regionally, domestically, and internationally.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
Ability to use a company credit card for travel expenses.

Performance Expectations
Develop strong working relationships with sales, service, customers, and industry contacts to gain insight into product performance and market needs.
Capture and analyze voice of customer feedback in a structured and unbiased manner.
Collect, analyze, and interpret sales and market data to assess product line performance.
Support marketing with development of product content including videos, application photography, digital assets, and presentations.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
