The Role :
The Business Development Manager - Non Commercial Foodservice will be selling into our Non Commercial partners and working cross-functionally to support all aspects of the sales process internally, oversee contract negotiations and top down strategic sales efforts. The Business Development Manager will negotiate corporate trade and marketing programs with the goal of maximizing growth. This role will be in charge of Corporate meetings. It will increase portfolio depth and velocity at existing accounts, while securing new partnerships to expand availability and will grow our category share in significant channels of focus like B&I, Healthcare and Higher Education. This role reports to the Director of Foodservice.
Essential Job Functions :
- Open and maintain new GPOs, while maintaining existing one.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual volume and net revenue targets.
- Increase portfolio depth and velocity at existing accounts, while securing new partnerships to expand availability.
- Execute Channel growth strategies by engaging Food Service Management partners for growth opportunities.
- Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions with key accounts to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Support the strategic plans for penetrating and closing Non Commercial accounts, as well as the ongoing management of those accounts.
- Build relationships with customer's key decision makers across their Procurement, Culinary, Marketing, and senior leadership teams.
- Successfully retain existing accounts, balancing volume, growth and margin.
- Negotiates corporate trade and marketing programs with the goal of maximizing growth.
- Leverage industry and customer insights to develop compelling selling narratives that drive actionable strategies and tactics.
- Track and report sales performance, pipeline development, and key account activities to senior leadership.
- Represent Meati at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build brand visibility and establish partnerships.
- Analyze distribution and non-buy reports on a monthly basis to close gaps.

Compensation :
The base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $125,000 annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
