We’re looking for experienced cooks and food industry professionals to join our Meatheadz BBQ Food Truck team!
This isn’t your typical kitchen job — we’re serving up fire BBQ at events, moving around, and building something big. If you love good food, fast-paced energy, and a fun atmosphere, you’ll fit right in.
Position: Contract Cook / Food Truck Team Member
What You’ll Do:
- Smoke meats (brisket, ribs, pulled pork, etc.)
- Prep and cook simple sides
- Assemble orders quickly and accurately
- Work inside a fast-paced food truck environment
- Interact with customers (good energy is a must)
- Operate POS systems such as Square POS and Toast POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for change.
- Keep things clean, organized, and running smooth
- Assist with food handling duties such as stocking supplies, food prep, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.
- Work great solo or with a team
- Support team members in various roles including serving customers, food delivery within the restaurant, and supporting kitchen operations to ensure smooth service flow.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in the food industry or cooking (required)
- BBQ/smoking experience is a BIG plus
- Reliable, hardworking, and efficient
- Strong people skills — we’re customer-facing
- Ability to stay cool under pressure
- Experience with POS systems such as Toast POS or Square POS is a plus; culinary experience or kitchen background is beneficial but not mandatory.
