What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Order Entry and Customer Service Specialist position at Mears Fertilizer Inc.?
ROLE:
The Order Entry / Customer Service reports to the Vice President of Plant Operations. This position is responsible for maintaining excellent customer relationships and responding to customer inquiries, order entry, documenting actions, and coordination of production schedule with order entry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Process and manage customer orders received via phone and email, ensuring all order details are accurate and complete.
- Verify pricing, product specifications, and customer requirements before order entry.
- Enter customer orders accurately into the order management system and maintain complete order documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure product availability and timely fulfillment.
- Establish production schedules and lead times based on inventory, manufacturing capacity, and customer delivery requirements.
- Track the status of customer orders from receipt through shipment, providing proactive updates and resolving any issues that may impact delivery.
- Prepare and distribute production schedules, manufacturing reports, and product labels to support packaging and shipping operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding orders, inventory availability, pricing, lead times, and delivery status.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications, order changes, and issue resolutions.
- Review incoming orders to determine product availability and coordinate with production when items need to be manufactured.
- Work closely with sales, production, packaging, and shipping departments to ensure efficient order fulfillment and exceptional customer service.
- Identify opportunities to improve order processing, inventory management, and customer service procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
PAY:
Pay is base on knowledge and experience.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
