Machinist

Mean Machine is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. We are a small shop and growing quickly!

We are a small qty style shop which leaves each day a new experience. Very rarely do we run production.

Previous employment in a machine shop or training in a trade school is required.

Basic duties/skills we are looking for

• Operate CNC machining centers such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines
• Program CNC machines using CAM (Fusion 360 preferred)
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration devices like calipers and micrometers to achieve tight tolerances.
• Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Perform maintenance on machining equipment and troubleshoot issues
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for auxiliary tasks related to machining projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling materials such as plastics or metals. Experience
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and effectively is helpful
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting while maintaining high accuracy standards.

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
