As the Home Delivered Meals (HDM) Delivery Associate at Meals on Wheels Western Michigan, you will play a vital front‑line role in delivering nourishment, connection, and compassionate service to our clients. Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of meals and other essential items on a regularly scheduled basis. Through your dependable service, warm interactions, and attention to client well‑being, you will help ensure that older adults across our community receive the support they need to remain healthy and independent. As a key representative of our mission, you will contribute to a positive, caring, and client‑centered environment while supporting a vibrant and fast‑paced organization dedicated to serving the community.
In this role you will:
- First and foremost, align with our mission and values as an organization.
- Deliver meals and other essential items using personal and/or company vehicle
- Load and unload delivery items safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of delivery information and client interactions
- Clean and maintain workspace, vehicles, and coolers
What you’ll Bring:
- Basic math and counting skills to support accurate meal delivery and documentation.
- Strong time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and reliably
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required, with the ability to travel throughout the designated service area.
- Driving record acceptable to Meals on Wheels insurance company
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and community partners.
- Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
