We are currently seeking a Warehouse and Utilities Assistant to join our Central Kitchen team as a vital part of our operations. In this role, you will play a key part in the reception, organization, and distribution of food products and supplies. Responsibilities include accurately loading carriers for distribution to our Centers, ensuring correct quantities, labeling, and sealing. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with State and Federal sanitation standards is essential.
What We're Looking For:
A morning person who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
A minimum of one year of experience in food assembly or high-volume food production.
Experience driving trucks of at least 24 feet with a clean driving record.
A strong work ethic and attention to detail to ensure the quality and safety of our meal deliveries.

Qualifications
Education & Knowledge
- High school diploma or GED Certificate
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Current Oregon Food Handler’s Certificate or ability to obtain within two weeks
Skills, Abilities & Experience
- One year experience in food assembly; high-volume food production preferred
- One year experience driving trucks minimum 24 ft. in length preferred
- Experience with ovens, knives, sealers, can openers, and rolling racks required
- Excellent driving record, insurable by Meals on Wheels People insurance carrier
- Ability to understand and communicate basic cooking directions
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work well with others in a diverse team-oriented atmosphere
Any satisfactory combination of experience, training, and/or education that ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above qualifications.
Salary : $18 - $21
