What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook/Food Prep Specialist position at Meals on Wheels of Asheville & Buncombe County?
Meals on Wheels of Asheville & Buncombe County is seeking an experienced and energetic person to join our kitchen team.
We prepare approximately 600 nutritious meals each weekday for homebound seniors.
Position is for morning hours, approximately 6:00 AM to 11 AM, Monday through Friday.
Must be able to assist with all aspects of the kitchen to include cook, prep, pack and clean.
Must be able to lift approximately 25 pounds, push 50 pounds and stand for periods of time.
Previous food service experience in restaurant and/or catering required.
ServSafe certication is preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
