Paralegal

Meagher & Geer, a nationally recognized litigation defense and insurance coverage law firm, is hiring a Litigation Paralegal for our Bismarck, ND office. This is a dynamic opportunity to join a collaborative team working on complex cases, particularly in medical malpractice defense.

Responsibilities

• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and discovery materials
• Request, organize, and summarize medical and non-medical records.
• Prepare deposition and trial materials, including subpoenas and exhibits.
• Manage case files and deadlines across multiple matters.
• Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, and court personnel.
• Support attorneys with trial prep, document production, and motion practice
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and Paralegal Certificate (ABA-accredited)
• 6 years of litigation defense experience (medical malpractice preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems (e.g., iManage)
• Experience with time and billing software (e.g., Aderant)
• Medical background or experience reviewing medical records is a plus.
• Ability to meet billable hour requirements and work overtime as needed

Employment Type: Full Time

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 Annual

Bonus/Commission: No
