Meagher & Geer, PLLP has an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing practice in Minneapolis.
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 Annual
Bonus/Commission: No
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
- Assisting high-level Family Law Partner with representation of clients in family law cases such as divorce, custody, child support, post-decree, spousal maintenance, domestic abuse, and other related issues.
- Drafting of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, Judgments and Decrees, and mediation packages
- Assist clients in Court and mediations
- Assist Attorney in preparing and drafting Marital Estate Balance Sheets. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word is a must.
- Conducting legal research and drafting of research memos
- Collaborating with senior attorney and legal staff
- Maintain regular client communication and case updates, including e-mail communications with Clients
- Assist with Client intakes and calendar management
- Must be motivated for high-level case load and fast-paced practice
- JD from an accredited law school and admitted to the Minnesota bar
- 3 years of experience practicing family law
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
- Proven Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
