Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electroplater to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying electrochemical coatings to metal parts and components to enhance durability, corrosion resistance, and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise will ensure that products meet strict quality standards and are finished to precise specifications. Responsibilities
- Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation techniques such as construction painting surface preparation and machining to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
- Operate electroplating equipment and associated machinery following established safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Interpret production documents, technical drawings, and specifications to determine coating requirements and application methods.
- Apply coatings using conventional spraying, airless paint spraying, or powder coating techniques with precision using spray guns and hand tools.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, including materials handling with forklifts and cranes when necessary.
- Conduct quality inspections using visual color comparison and precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness, appearance, and adherence to quality standards in production.
- Maintain a clean work area, adhere strictly to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use including respirators and respiratory protection, and follow all safety protocols during manufacturing processes such as welding, fabrication, auto body repair, or auto painting when applicable.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and machining tools.
- Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions for finishing processes.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to PPE use, respiratory protection, materials handling, and equipment operation in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with quality standards in production environments to ensure consistent product excellence.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and material quantities.
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation and crane handling is highly desirable.
