- Prepare material samples for mechanical, metallurgical, and chemical testing.
- Perform laboratory tests including hardness testing, microscopic examinations, and other material evaluations.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
- Collect, record, and analyze test data accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain laboratory documentation.
- Assist engineers and scientists with research, development, and failure analysis projects.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Monitor inventory levels of laboratory supplies and materials.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
- Follow all company safety policies and applicable environmental regulations.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree or technical certification in Metallurgical Technology, Materials Science, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and laboratory experience may be considered.
Experience
- Previous laboratory, manufacturing, quality control, or materials testing experience preferred.
- Experience with metallurgical testing equipment and laboratory procedures is an asset.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and quality control practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.

Physical Requirements
