Position Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
- Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed by the state as a radiation operator; Registered by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist.
- BLS; ACLS - obtained within 6 months of hire
- Minimum Work Experience
- Minimum of one year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab - preferred
- Must be able to meet requirements of departmental on call policy.
- Required critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
