Bath Aid

• Attendance

  • You must show up for your shift, clock in, and be ready to work at the time you are scheduled.

  • If you will be late for your shift, or unable to complete your shift, you MUST call your manager.

  • You must attend monthly all staff meetings.

  • You must attend monthly nursing meetings.

• Appearance

  • You must wear your name tag when working

  • You must be dressed in scrubs, slacks, or closed toe shoes.

    Resident showers

    Help residents with showers and dressing as needed

• Cleaning (follow all safety and infection control policies and procedures)

  • Garbage’s

  • Laundry

  • Resident rooms

  • Public areas

  • Bathrooms

  • Med rooms

  • Vacuum

  • Dishes

  • Cleaning cart MUST be locked when you cannot see it.

• Resident Relations

  • You must treat residents with respect and kindness

  • You must be patient when working with residents

  • Smile and enjoy what you do.

  • If resident would like a medication, please let the medication aid know.

  • If resident complains of a health issue, please let the nurse, or medication aid know.

• Co-worker Relations

  • Work with your co-workers to complete tasks. This may include:

    • Serving food

    • Cleaning

    • Bathing residents

    • Washing and folding laundry

    • Plunging toilets

    • Raking leaves

    • Deep cleaning, i.e. moving furniture

    • All other duties as assigned

  • We are all here for the same purpose: care for our residents, thus we all NEED to help.
