About the Role:
The Activities Assistant at Meadows at Brookmeade plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by planning, organizing, and facilitating engaging activities tailored to seniors in an long-term care setting.. The Activities Assistant collaborates closely with healthcare and support staff to ensure activities meet the physical and cognitive abilities of each resident, promoting overall well-being.
There are 2 positions available
1. Full Time (Monday - Friday with Every Other Weekend -9 AM - 5 PM)
2. Part Time (Every Other Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) - 9 AM - 5 PM)

Minimum Qualifications:
· Experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with seniors, showing empathy and respect.
· Exemplary personal integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
· A cheerful disposition and a genuine passion for improving the lives of older adults.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certification or training in recreational therapy or related fields.
· Experience developing and implementing activity programs for seniors with diverse needs.
· Knowledge of current best practices in senior care and activity facilitation.
· Ability to use technology to enhance activity programming and resident engagement.
Responsibilities:
· Plan, coordinate, and lead a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities that cater to the interests and abilities of seniors in the assisted living and long-term care environment.
· Engage residents in social, physical, and cognitive activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
· Collaborate with nursing and care staff to tailor activities that accommodate individual health conditions and mobility limitations.
