Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) Ithaca/Lansing NY

Are you a NYS licensed veterinary technician looking to utilize your stellar skills in a laid back, friendly practice in N. Lansing? We need your help!

The position involves a large amount of client interaction and education, working directly with veterinarians, pets, and clients during office visits, plus technician-specific appointments for blood draws, laser therapy, injections and similar procedures. Other responsibilities include anesthesia, dental procedures, post-surgical monitoring, radiology, dispensing medications, sample preparation and handling, calls to clients, and inventory assistance. If you have particular areas of expertise or interest, we would love to provide an opportunity for you to use those skills.

We have 3 doctors, great clients with care tailored to the individual pet. We are certified AAFP feline friendly, and emphasize preventative and behavioral medicine, including puppy and kitten skills sessions.

Full or part time position. Salary is based on experience. Benefits include generous pet care discounts and pension matching. Partial health insurance coverage is available for full time employees. There are no “on call” shifts, and we are closed on all major holidays.
