Housekeeping/Laundry Lead

Meadowlark is looking for a Housekeeping/Laundry Lead to join our team and help keep our residents’ homes clean, comfortable, safe, and welcoming.

This isn’t your typical housekeeping position! You’ll still be hands-on with housekeeping and laundry, but you’ll also be a go-to resource for the team—helping answer questions, provide training and guidance, assist with daily priorities, and make sure our high standards are being met.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform hands-on housekeeping and laundry duties.

• Help keep resident spaces clean, comfortable, and welcoming.

• Conduct routine quality checks and help ensure our standards are being met.

• Be a resource and positive support for housekeeping and laundry team members.

• Help train new employees and provide guidance on procedures, equipment, supplies, and safety.

• Help coordinate daily priorities as directed by the Housekeeping/Laundry Manager.

• Identify areas that need attention and communicate concerns to the manager.

• Help troubleshoot problems and find ways to improve daily processes.

• Help keep calendars, task sheets, and other department information organized and up to date.

• Print calendars, task sheets, and other documents as needed.

• Schedule and reschedule appointments using department calendars.

• Write and respond to emails with other Meadowlark employees.

• Communicate supply or equipment needs and other concerns to the manager.

• Build positive relationships with residents, families, guests, and coworkers.

• Most importantly, help create an environment where residents feel comfortable, respected, and at home.

COMPUTER EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED

This position isn't just about cleaning and laundry. As a Lead, you'll also help with the organization and coordination of the department, so being comfortable with a computer is important.

Computer experience is preferred. You'll use a computer for a variety of daily tasks, including:

• Printing calendars and task sheets

• Scheduling and rescheduling appointments on department calendars

• Writing and responding to emails with other Meadowlark employees

• Using Microsoft Word and Excel

• Using Outlook and email

• Completing other basic computer and administrative tasks

You don't have to be a computer expert—we can help you learn our specific systems. We are looking for someone who is comfortable learning and willing to use technology as part of the job.

ONE IMPORTANT THING...

This is a working lead position—not a supervisory position.

You won't be responsible for hiring, firing, or formally disciplining employees. Instead, you'll be the extra set of eyes, helping hand, knowledgeable resource, and quality champion who helps the Housekeeping/Laundry Manager and the entire team succeed.

We're looking for someone who can lead by example, pitch in when the team needs help, and isn't afraid to say, "I've got it—let me help!"

THE DETAILS

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

• 80 hours every two weeks

• Must have flexibility to work other hours when needed to help cover other shifts

• Must have a clean driving record

• Must be comfortable performing hands-on housekeeping and laundry duties
