Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate, motivated Addictions Counselors to join our outpatient clinical team. This role provides individual counseling, substance use evaluations, treatment planning, and recovery support for individuals experiencing substance use and behavioral addictions (e.g., gambling, gaming).
We strongly encourage applications from both early-career professionals and experienced clinicians. MCS provides supervision, mentorship, and professional development in a highly supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient individual counseling using evidence-informed, strengths-based approaches
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, SUD evaluations, and ASAM level-of-care determinations
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with DDAP and HIPAA
- Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and professional development
- Collaborate with referral sources and community partners (e.g., probation, CYS, medical providers)
- Maintain ethical standards, professional boundaries, and confidentiality
- Support a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented environment
- Provide services at both Mansfield and Knoxville locations as needed

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a human services field OR 5 years of relevant experience
- Interest in addictions counseling and professional growth
- Ability to learn DDAP documentation and ASAM criteria
- Basic technology proficiency (EHR, documentation platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong time management and reliability
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SUD, behavioral health, or crisis settings
- Familiarity with ASAM, DSM-5-TR, MI, CBT, and/or trauma-informed care
- Certification or licensure (CADC, CAADC, LSW, LCSW, LPC, etc.)
- Experience in DDAP-licensed settings
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
