Penn Foster
Full-time Veterinary Assistants and uncertified Techs in good standing can advance their careers through our fully sponsored Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Degree Program, one of the few AVMA-accredited online programs in the country. What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on, well-rounded technician role where you’ll work both independently and alongside DVMs and clinical staff.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with diagnostics
- Support surgical procedures and patient care
- Calculate and administer oral and injectable medications
- Review lab work and patient records
- Educate clients on treatment plans and preventative care
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- Ensure a high standard of patient advocacy
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient record documentation (EzyVet is our in-house system)
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Prioritize tasks in a fast-moving clinical environment
- 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience
- Surgical experience and confidence supporting anesthesia monitoring
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and organization
- Ability to stay adaptable and composed in a fast-paced setting
- Solid clinical judgment and independent work capability
- A team-first mindset with openness to feedback and growth
- The pay range for this position is $25/hr - $28/hr
- $2,500 sign-on bonus based on experience
