What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper/Equipment Operator (Seasonal) position at Meadowbrook Country Club?
Meadowbrook Country Club is looking for dedicated individuals to join our grounds maintenance team. Responsibilities include operating equipment and performing manual labor tasks. We are seeking team members for two periods: late May through mid-August and through the end of November.
Our team fosters a friendly atmosphere where members work together and support each other.
Department Greens and Grounds
Reports to Golf Course Assistant Superintendent, Golf Course Superintendent
Job purpose
Assist with the maintenance of the golf course and grounds.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist with the maintenance operations of the golf course and grounds, including mowing, trimming, bunker maintenance, and course projects.
- Assist with details including, but not limited to, ball mark repair, divot repair, leaf/debris blowing, stick clean-up, tree maintenance, mulching, edging, digging, and backfilling.
- Report safety component or operational problems to a supervisor or the mechanic.
- All other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
Qualifications
Outdoor work or lawn maintenance experience preferred.
Able to work early morning hours and assist with morning weekend assignments.
Working conditions
Primarily outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand, and lift 80 pounds.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Must be able to work in hot or cold conditions.
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
