Meadowbrook at Oconto Falls is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Human Resources Manager to support our Meadowbrook community. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our residents receive exceptional care by supporting, developing, and retaining a strong and compassionate team.
The Human Resources Manager plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations of the center, with a strong focus on scheduling, employee experience, retention, and engagement. This position partners closely with leadership and staff to foster a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Experience & Retention
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to improve retention and workplace satisfaction
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, concerns, and coaching
- Support a positive, team-oriented culture aligned with resident-centered care
- Assist leadership with performance management, coaching, and employee development
Onboarding & Hiring Support
- Coordinate interviews and assist with pre-employment processes
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure a welcoming onboarding experience
- Partner with hiring managers to support smooth transitions for new employees
HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy within the HRIS system
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, healthcare regulations, and company policies
- Respond to employee questions regarding policies, procedures, and benefits
- Assist with audits, reporting, and documentation
Payroll, Scheduling & Administrative Support
- Process payroll and maintain time and labor systems with accuracy
- Lead employee scheduling and staffing coordination using center systems
- Support benefits administration including enrollments and employee questions
- Assist with workers’ compensation, safety tracking, and related compliance
- Coordinate with corporate departments such as Accounts Payable/Receivable
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional HR or business education preferred
- 1 years of HR, scheduling, or administrative experience (healthcare preferred)
- Experience in employee relations, retention, or engagement initiatives strongly preferred
- Familiarity with scheduling systems and workforce coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
