Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Support medication administration processes following HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality in all documentation.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing team promptly.
- Assist with meal service, feeding residents as needed, and ensuring proper nutrition intake.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following safety procedures for manual handling and heavy lifting practices.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state requirements.
- Prior experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care or nursing home settings preferred; experience with dementia care and memory support is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (CPR).
- Familiarity with electronic health records (Point ClickCare) systems for documentation purposes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers.
